RA Veteran Profiles: 2007

- Colonel Mike – Colonel Mike is one of the true heroes on the RA tour. He did RA
6 on a knobby mountain bike and I think he liked it better the worse the weather
was and the harder it got. On day four he was ready to turn around and ride back
to P-burg. Motto – “When do we get to the hard part.”
- Bortini – Bortini, a renowned Mixoligist, received his Doctorate from the MacGyver
School of Mixology. Motto – “Never met a Martini I didn’t like.” Has a standing
reward for any Bartender who can properly make a “Bortini” on the RA tour.
- HB III – HB hails from a long line of HB’s. HB’s Great Grandfather, a General for
the Confederates, fought at The Battle of Ball’s Bluff. Contrary to public knowledge,
Ball’s Bluff was not named for an outcropping of rocks above the Potomac where that
Battle was fought, but for General HB’s poker skills in the traditional pre-battle
Texas hold-em square off. Motto – “Hell, a little duct tape and it should be fine”
- Kaiser – Heir Kaiser’s true passion is as a proponent of Gnome rights. Kaiser is
willing to break local laws if it means freeing another downtrodden lawn Gnome.
(Ironically the Kaiser could care less about Elves.) Motto – “If freeing Gnomes
is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.”
